Brian
Brian Kress grew up in Bloomington, IN and has been singing since he could make a noise! He feels very lucky to have grown up in a thriving arts community where he participated in concert choirs, musicals, plays, show choirs, and a cappella groups. A highlight being his involvement as a featured singer in the Jacobs School of Music Singing Hoosiers, a collegiate show choir that performs everything from Beethoven to Beyoncé. This group shaped his love and appreciation for all genres of music. He also discovered his love for teaching when he returned to his own elementary school to student teach for Mrs. Crane’s music classes at Childs Elementary School. Looking to further his career in the performing arts, he graduated from Indiana University in 2018 with a BA in Theatre & Drama, and moved to Missouri shortly after.
Since moving to the Branson/Springfield area, Brian has been a featured vocalist in various shows at the King’s Castle Theatre (Anthems of Rock, Dancing Queen, New Jersey Nights), The Showboat Branson Belle (Classic Rock Variety Show, Christmas Show), and currently works as a performer at Silver Dollar City. He is currently a voice teacher at Springfield Little Theatre, where you might also find him on stage or working in the box office.
Brian would like to give a special shoutout to all of the incredible music teachers and students that have shaped him into the person he is today. He is excited for the opportunity to work with the talented students at Studio 3 Dance Academy!
